For a remix contest on beatport I made a 2011 remix of the legendary track of Innerzone Orchestra called Bugg in the bass Bin. For this remix I’ve tried to make a solid groove by using a combination of the original bass sound, toms, strings and of course the cluborgan and strings which form the the soul of the original. On this basic groove I stacked my own “Flamehead though” with rythmic parts, swinging hats and feelgood melodies. Last night Flamehead had a smashing time during and after my performance at café de Kroeg. Because of the theme of this Invite Sessions (Berlin24) Flamehead had prepared a special intro about the city of Berlin. Resident Saxophone player Ewout Dercksen was absent this night but this was compensated by percussionist Martijn Jacobs who seemed “on fire” while playing live on the bongo’s & conga’s throughout the greater part of DJ Flamehead’s set. As a tribute to the birth of one of my best friends daughter Milou I mixed a special 2hr set with some of the latest tracks combined with some out of the “Flamehead archive .
